Renee & David’s wedding at Petrichor Farm was a day filled with love, laughter and the kind of moments that make your heart full. Their love story began through a shared passion, rugby. They first met at their local Royals Rugby Club where they were both playing at the time. What started as a solid friendship quickly grew into something much deeper (even if everyone else saw it before they did!).
Their ceremony was made even more special by their choice of celebrant someone affiliated with Royals Rugby bringing their journey full circle and honouring where it all began.
David popped the question in the most magical way on New Year’s Eve 2023, under the fireworks on the lawns of Parliament House with their daughter by their side. It was a beautiful family moment that set the tone for the wedding to come.
Set in the rolling countryside of Petrichor Farm in Gundaroo NSW, their wedding embraced rustic charm with a personal twist. They leaned into the country vibes of the venue to honour Renee’s roots in Cootamundra, incorporating beautiful local vendors from the area including a singer and florist who brought the day to life with heartfelt touches and familiar warmth.
The colour palette? All things pink, Renee’s favourite colour (and their daughter’s too!). From soft florals to the thoughtful details scattered throughout the day, the styling was fresh, romantic and fun. And the real showstopper? Watching their little girl absolutely glow in her very own ‘wedding dress’ she was so ready for her big moment and her joy lit up every room she walked into.
One of the most emotional highlights was Renee walking down the aisle to David and their girls, a memory that will stay with everyone there forever.
