Isaac and Danella’s love story is the perfect blend of faith, fun and heartfelt moments and their Lake George Winery wedding was a true reflection of that. Surrounded by rolling vineyards and mountain views, their day was filled with laughter, music and a relaxed garden party vibe that felt effortlessly timeless.
Their engagement story is as sweet as their beginning. On 2 March 2024, Isaac surprised Danella with a date that turned into one of the most memorable days of their lives. After a few casual detours (including a much-needed matcha latte stop!), Isaac took her to the Wesley Music Centre — a special place where he’d taken piano exams and where they once had a jam session together. There, he serenaded her with Valentine by Laufey, a song he had secretly been practising for weeks before leading her onto the stage and proposing in the most heartfelt way.
When it came to their wedding day, Isaac and Danella chose a setting that perfectly matched their personalities: relaxed, romantic and surrounded by nature. Their ceremony took place outdoors overlooking the vineyards, while their reception carried a soft, elegant palette of sage greens and buttery yellows — a nod to their “Italian garden” theme.
Their advice to other couples? “For the Canberrans, don’t be afraid to look outside of Canberra for a wedding venue for an out-of-city vibe. We also suggest taking your time when selecting your vendor. You want to be looked after well on the day so you can enjoy the moments and be able to relax and trust that they have it all under control!“
