Some love stories feel like they’re straight out of a romantic movie, and Isaac and Danella’s engagement is exactly that! From a heartfelt proposal to a dreamy lakeside engagement session, their journey has been filled with love, laughter, and beautiful moments.
Isaac popped the question on March 2, 2024, at the Wesley Music Centre—a place filled with sentimental memories for the couple. What started as a seemingly ordinary day quickly turned into an unforgettable moment. After a sweet morning together filled with Bible study and a homemade lunch, Isaac whisked Danella away for a “surprise” date. With a few unexpected detours (because matcha lattes are a non-negotiable!), they finally arrived at the music centre.
Danella had no idea what was coming next. In a heartfelt nod to one of their early dates, they sat down at the piano for a casual jam session. But this time, Isaac had something special planned. After playing a few songs together, he began serenading Danella with “Valentine” by Laufey—a song he had secretly been practicing for weeks. As the last note faded, he led her to the centre of the stage, revealing a display of their cherished memories. With love in his eyes, he got down on one knee and asked the question that would change their lives forever. Through happy tears, Danella said yes—and the rest is history.
To celebrate their engagement, we headed to Lake Burley Griffin for a golden-hour session that perfectly reflected their love: warm, effortless, and filled with joy. The soft glow of the setting sun, the gentle breeze over the water, and the laughter they shared made for the most magical photos. They danced by the lakeside, embraced beneath the golden sky, and simply enjoyed the moment—just the two of them, wrapped up in love.
