Sophia and Jeremy’s love story is one that unfolded beautifully over time, from their first meeting at a university church camp in 2021 to an unexpected reconnection in 2023. Their wedding day was a true reflection of their journey, grounded in friendship, faith and a deep cultural connection.
As a Canberra wedding photographer, it was such an honour to capture this special celebration at The Truffle Farm Canberra, a stunning wedding venue nestled along Mount Majura Road in the Australian Capital Territory. With its rustic charm and serene landscapes, it was the perfect setting to compliment their native Australian florals by Poetry in Flowers.
The couple got engaged in Canberra on March 10, during the Enlighten Festival and Symphony in the Park – an unforgettable moment surrounded by lights, music and love. Their wedding day carried that same vibrant energy, filled with golden nature tones, heartfelt vows and meaningful traditions.
One of the most beautiful elements of their day was how it honoured both their Christian faith and Sophia’s proud First Nations heritage. From prayers shared with family to cultural touches woven throughout the ceremony, their wedding was a beautiful blend of spiritual connection and cultural celebration. It was truly one of the most memorable weddings I’ve had the joy of documenting.
Having known Sophia and her family for years, being trusted to photograph this chapter of her life was incredibly special. Watching her marry Jeremy, her best friend and soulmate and surrounded by their closest loved ones, was a powerful reminder of why I do what I do!
