Some love stories begin in the most unexpected ways and Cass & Reece’s journey is a perfect example. They were set up by friends long before they ever actually crossed paths and when they finally did meet at the gym a year later, sparks flew. Reece kept asking Cass out until one night they hung out… and from that moment on, they never looked back.
Fast forward to September 2023, and the snowfields of Thredbo became the setting for a beautiful milestone. On a crisp alpine day surrounded by snow and mountain views, Reece got down on one knee and asked Cass to marry him. It was the perfect proposal, combining their love for the outdoors with a place that means so much to them.
When it came time to plan their wedding, there was no better choice than Barrakee Ski Lodge. Nestled in the ski fields at Perisher Ski Resort, this unique Snowy Mountains wedding venue brought their vision to life: a celebration full of snow, bold and colourful dried flowers, country music and of course, a big, joy-filled party with all their favourite people.
Their wedding day was nothing short of magical. The alpine backdrop created a breathtaking atmosphere, while the vibrant florals added the perfect pop of colour against the snowy landscape. Every detail felt true to Cass & Reece — fun, authentic, and full of heart. From laughter during the ceremony to the dance floor energy later in the night, their wedding at Barrakee Ski Lodge was a celebration of love, commitment, and adventure.
When asked what they were most looking forward to, their answers captured just how much this day meant to them. For Reece, it was about marrying the love of his life. For Cass, it was the joy of finally being able to call herself his wife. Simple, heartfelt, and deeply real, just like the two of them.
